The world of Weyard: A summary of the setting and the plot

The game takes place in a fantasy world called Weyard, which is shaped like a flat disc with four elemental lighthouses at its corners. The lighthouses represent the four elements of earth, fire, wind, and water, which are the source of all life and magic in the world. The people of Weyard can harness these elements through the use of Psynergy, a form of mental energy that allows them to manipulate matter and energy.

The story begins in the peaceful village of Vale, which lies at the foot of Mount Aleph, where the Venus Lighthouse stands. Isaac, Garet, Jenna, and Felix are four friends who live in Vale and have the ability to use Psynergy. One day, a mysterious storm strikes the village, causing a huge boulder to fall from Mount Aleph and crush Felix's house. Isaac and Garet try to save Felix and his parents, but they are too late. Felix and his parents are presumed dead, while Jenna blames Isaac and Garet for not saving them.

Three years later, Isaac and Garet are training under their mentor Kraden, a scholar who studies the secrets of Mount Aleph and the lighthouses. They are visited by two strangers named Saturos and Menardi, who claim to be travelers looking for information about the lighthouses. They ask Kraden to take them to Sol Sanctum, a sacred temple inside Mount Aleph that holds the key to activating the lighthouses. 71b2f0854b
